In Malaysia, Atopic Eczema is a skin disorder that affects 2 in every 10 people in Malaysia and about 10% - 14% of children below the age of 14,.* Eczema can be a very lonely disorder and can become an embarrasing secret. It is a frustrating condition and sometimes turns into a battle between parent and child.* Sometimes eczema can disappear as the child grows older. However some people don't grow out of it. As an adult eczema can cause disruption at work, choice of vocation and in relationships, family or otherwise. Extreme cold or heat affects the skin. Stress affect the skin. All aspects of a sufferer's life is affected. There is no cure for eczema. You just have to live with it and manage it. That is why I started this website. Education is key. It is a place to share information and experiences. To give each other support and encouragement. Together, we can manage this disorder and improve the quality of our lives.

Patients with severe eczema should follow an individualized eczema-management plan developed by a dermatologist.
